Grand Traverse Lighthouse sits perched at the tip of the Leelanau Peninsula. Northport Michigan is the closest town on the coast.
It was the blue blue water with the red roof of the lighthouse that inspired me to paint it. Grnad Traverse Lighthouse and the entire Leelanau Peninsula of Michigan are so scenic, an artist would never have to leave for want of material to paint!

Any season here is an artist delight. And Northern Michigan is home to many many talented artists.
