The Leelanau Peninsula is home to Michigan vinyards, the little coastal towns of Empire, Glen Arbor, Leland and Northport..as well as Suttons Bay, Omena, Maple City, Cedar and Burdickville. Some of the most blue blue lakes I have ever seen are here. The sand bottoms of these lakes reflect and produce that "mediterranean" look the Leelanau Peninsula is known for.
How about a stroll up one of the Grand Traverse bay beaches? This is a water wonderland and a great place to get away from it all. I think a home on the Leelanau Peninsula would be just the ticket for any artist..or perhaps a nice long visit. That is why I paint Michigan..it's like one big get-away.
